PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Hello Warrane Community,

Term 4 is always a busy and exciting time, and the past fortnight has been no exception!

Excursions and Adventures
Grades 3/4 Spencer and 5/6 Stanford-Bowerman enjoyed a fantastic excursion to the Hobart Zoo and Aquarium, finishing their day at beautiful Richmond Park. Feedback from students and staff has been overwhelmingly positive — highlights included feeding and patting wallabies, meeting a friendly snake, and watching some very entertaining monkey antics!

Our Prep students had a special visit from the team at Bonorong Wildlife Park, who shared fascinating insights about local animals. The students were full of curiosity and asked lots of thoughtful questions — it was a wonderful learning experience.

Meanwhile, 1/2 Clark continued their fortnightly visits to the United Care Aged Centre. These visits have been such a meaningful way to build connections within our community. The stories shared and friendships formed between students and residents have been truly heartwarming to see.

Learning and Growth
All students have recently participated in the PAT (Progressive Achievement Tests) for reading comprehension and numeracy. These assessments give teachers valuable insight into each student’s learning progress and growth over the year. The results help inform end-of-year reports and planning for the remainder of the term, and they’ll also be passed on to students’ teachers in 2026 to support a smooth transition.

Exciting News!
We’re thrilled to share some joyful news — Mrs Jones (formerly Miss Withers) is expecting a baby! Please join us in congratulating her and wishing her all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter.

Also a big congratulations to Miss Williams, who recently got married! We wish her and her husband all the very best for their future together. Miss Williams will now be known as Mrs Hope.

Warm regards,
Sarah
