PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Hello to the Warrane community

This week Grade 3/4 Spencer went on an excursion to the Material Institute where they got to enjoy science-based activities. Grade 1/2 Willliams walked down to Lillian Martin Home this morning, met some residents and they did some artwork together while they got to know each other.

A DECYP film crew spent half a day yesterday filming all the activities we have implemented across the school to support student wellbeing. Our school data shows that the initiatives put in place are working and student wellbeing is at an all time high.

One of the wellbeing initiatives implemented last year is Friday Choices. There are several new activities this year, students got to list 3 options and are then placed in an activity for Term 1 and 2. The first round of Choices starts tomorrow, look out for some photos on Facebook!

Learners Lounge, another wellbeing initiative started on Monday, two students from each class who have put effort into their learning in the classroom take some work to the Staff Room to share with their peers. Students enjoy hot/cold milo and chocolate biscuits after they share their work.

The Athletics Carnival is on Monday 3rd of March on the top oval. All grades will participate in both running and some field events. Students are encouraged to wear their house colours on the day. Families are welcome to come and watch, the carnival starts at 9.20am, please refer to programs sent out earlier this week. Copies are also available at the office. School hats will need to be worn. Students need to bring their own sunscreen and there will be gazebos for students to sit under.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
