PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Sarah.jpg

Hello to the Warrane School Community,

Reports will be sent home with students on Friday 30th June. This year the report your child brings home will look slightly different, each child will receive an A-E mark in English, Maths, Science and PE. If your child is assessed against a Learning Plan, all goals will be marked against.

You will also receive an annotated work sample for English and Maths. The work samples will have comments attached and a future focus for your child to work on next term. These samples will be what is discussed in the parent teacher meetings in the last week of this term. You can book these appointments through Schoolzine.

At Warrane Primary School we believe that every student has the ability to learn and succeed. Reporting is a time for teachers to reflect on the growth and understanding of each individual in their classroom and share this with you.

Next term we will have a focus on Attendance. Everyday Counts!

Our attendance figures at the moment are concerning. I understand that this time of year children are unwell and have more time off school due to illness. I encourage that if your child is unwell for them to stay home, but please contact the office or classroom teacher so we can amend this on our records. If you do not call the absence is marked unexplained. Next year the Department of Education and Young People will be sending letters home to families for unexplained absences.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Sarah
